In The Bleak: Advent 2023

This is In The Bleak, an advent practice for those in middling spaces. Each Sunday of advent you will find a practice of presence, a scripture reading, a short essay, and a poem or song to reflect on. We’ll explore the typical themes of advent, and we’ll explore their opposites too. Hope, and darkness. Peace, and fear. Joy, and anguish. Love, and hate. All in hopes of having a more robust understanding and embodied experience of each. Whether you’re questioning faith, have left it completely, or are devout, my hope is these words will meet you and hold you in the space you’re in.
